The March 2024 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) is scheduled to take place on March 17, 2024. The results of the exam are expected to be released online between May 3-24, 2024, or within 30-45 working days after the exam. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will announce the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools, and performance of schools for both the Elementary and Secondary levels.

Here are some previous results of the LET Board Examination:

September 2023 LET: The results were released between November 21 and December 7, 2023. Out of 50,593 elementary teachers who took the exam, 23,782 (47.01%) passed. For secondary teachers, out of 95,969 examinees, 53,995 (56.26%) successfully passed.

March 2023 LET: The results were released on May 19, 2023, approximately 42 working days after the exam. The passers, top 10, top performing schools, and performance of schools for both elementary and secondary levels were announced.

October 2022 LET: The results were released on December 16, 2022, fifty-six (56) working days after the exam. Out of 91,468 elementary level examinees, 49,783 (54.43%) passed. For the secondary level, out of 139,534 examinees, 71,080 (50.94%) passed.

September 2021 LET: 4,883 elementary teachers out of 8,726 examinees (55.96%) and 10,318 secondary teachers out of 17,863 examinees (57.76%) successfully passed the exam.

The pass rates for the October 2022 LET Board Examination

The pass rates for the October 2022 LET Board Examination are as follows:

Elementary Level: Out of 91,468 examinees, 49,783 (54.43%) successfully passed the examination.

Secondary Level: Out of 139,534 examinees, 71,080 (50.94%) successfully passed the examination.

To pass the LET examination, an aspirant must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.

These pass rates were announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and were released on December 16, 2022, which was fifty-six (56) working days after the conduct of the licensure exams.




LET Board Examination

The Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), also known as the Teachers Board Exam, is a national examination in the Philippines. It's conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to certify the competency of aspiring teachers.

 

The LET is administered twice a year, typically in March and September. The examination covers various topics, and its structure differs for Elementary and Secondary Level examinees.

 

For the Elementary Level:

 

- 40% of the exam covers topics from General Education (Gen Ed)

- 60% covers topics from Professional Education (Prof Ed)

 

For the Secondary Level:


- 20% of the exam covers topics from Gen Ed

- 40% covers topics from Prof Ed

- 40% covers topics from the examinee's area of specialization, also known as their majorship


The exam is held in various testing centers nationwide. The list of room assignments is usually released and posted on the PRC's website one month before the scheduled examinations.

After the examination, the results, along with the list of passers, topnotchers, top performing schools, and performance of schools, are released online.

1. General Qualification: As prescribed by RA No. 7836, a citizen of the Philippines or an alien whose country has reciprocity with the Philippines can apply to take the LET.

3. Exam Coverage: The LET exam covers different areas depending on the level (Elementary or Secondary) and includes topics from General Education (Gen Ed), Professional Education (Prof Ed), and the examinee's area of specialization (majorship) for Secondary Level.

Unauthorized Individuals, Groups or Entities Claiming to be Connected with PRC

This is to warn the general public against dealing with individuals or entities claiming to be connected with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), or using the name of its Officials, Personnel, and/or members of the PRC Boards, either by presenting fake calling cards and other identification cards, including the use of its official logos, for personal or financial gain, to facilitate and/or process the application and/or release of various PRC documents, or in promising examinees to pass the licensure examination.

The PRC follows its procedures and processes as enshrined in its Citizens Charter. The PRC disclaims all representations which are purportedly extended by these unscrupulous individuals.

The public is hereby directed to report these individuals, entities or groups representing, soliciting, asking money or any consideration, related to PRC transactions, or for facilitating PRC services and any other similar activities to the PRC ARTA Committee at arta@prc.gov.ph.

Further, the transacting public is advised to refer to the PRC Citizen’s Charter on the requirements and timelines for the release of relevant documents. The PRC Citizen’s Charter is conspicuously posted at the PRC premises and on the official website at www.prc.gov.ph.

The PRC will continuously take measures to protect the public from false information and fake documents provided by any unauthorized individuals, groups or entities.

EXECUTION OF THE UNDERTAKING SHALL NOT CONSTITUTE AS A WAIVER OF THE CPD COMPLIANCE AND SUCH COMPLIANCE SHALL BE COMPLETED ON THE NEXT RENEWAL CYCLE.
